PROHIBITED ITEMS

Prohibited items are any item that violates Probation Center polices. Items determined to be illegal, dangerous, disruptive, or counterproductive to Probation Center staff, clients or its operations.

PROHIBITED ITEMS

The following is a list of prohibited items that will be confiscated by staff:


  • Anything representing the occult
  • Clothing with skulls
  • Role-playing games
  • Any object depicting drug or alcohol use
  • Music videos
  • Clothing with any sex, drugs, rock & roll logos or staff deemed unacceptable graphics
  • Holes in pants/jeans
  • Leggings
  • Skirts above the knee
  • Shorts more than 1" above the knee
  • Tank tops
  • Controlled substances; Illegal
  • MP3 players, Walkmans, compact discs
  • Weapons
  • Food of any kind (gum is allowed)
  • Clock Radios
  • Earrings and other piercings; jewelry (watch and wedding ring permitted)
  • Flammable liquids
  • Pornography
  • Tattooing devices
  • Picture or drawings of inappropriate objects
  • Aerosol cans
  • Personal video games- (Game boy, game gear etc.) unless approved
  • Video/Digital, or any other camera
  • Cellular telephones; pagers
  • Fabric softener in sheet form
  • Adulterants/Alcohol/Vapor cigarettes
  • Anything staff deems inadmissible 


If a resident has property confiscated by a staff member, he will have the opportunity to reclaim it under the following conditions:

  1. Property will be released if the resident has an approved visitor coming that can take the property home.
  2. Residents of TCCPC are not permitted to bring back any prohibited items from furlough, community service, or work.
  3. After exiting the program, any remaining property will be removed from the Center. (30 days from discharge) Property may only be returned to the name of listed person on clients property release form.
